Ways to destress after a long work week

Life can be tough sometimes, it can be overwhelming ! So many tasks: family to take care of, job, shopping, cleaning the house, getting fit and healthy. It is important to learn how to cope with today's stress and therapy can be an important tool. Meditation, relaxation, changing core beliefs and thoughts that are not helping are some of the significant skills that can be learned and practiced in therapy.


Communication is also an important skill that needs improvement when you are feeling overwhelmed. Your family or significant others need to know what your heart wants and it is your job to facilitate that communication. Using clear statements, not generalizing, not blaming anyone, owning your needs and faults will make yourself better understood and valued.
